Overview

Warwick Acoustics Ltd is a VC backed UK-based technology company that is seeking to disrupt the $8bn global automotive in-car entertainment market. They are looking to do this through the development of a new, market leading category of automotive audio solution, the Electrostatic (ES) Audio System.

About

Their mission is to become the global standard for the delivery of entertainment and noise control within the automotive industry.

Since partnering with Warwick Acoustics in 2020, Tech Connect Group (TCG) has supported their growth from 12 to 63 employees, delivering highly skilled talent within a competitive audio and clean technology market.

As a start-up operating in stealth mode within an emerging market, Warwick Acoustics faced the dual challenge of attracting talent to a business with limited public visibility, while competing against more established organisations. To address this, TCG went beyond talent delivery—providing access to external suppliers and supporting a broader go-to-market approach to talent attraction.

Central to this was positioning the opportunity around the company’s technology, projects, and long-term vision, rather than relying solely on traditional benefits-led messaging.

To enable this scale-up, TCG was appointed as the exclusive recruitment partner, taking ownership of the end-to-end hiring programme. This includes proactive talent sourcing, management of careers page applications, and engagement with speculative candidates.

Each applicant is assessed for technical capability, cultural alignment, and right-to-work status, with fully qualified candidates seamlessly integrated into the recruitment pipeline.

This streamlined approach has ensured a consistent, high-quality candidate experience while allowing Warwick Acoustics’ leadership team to remain focused on advancing their technology and commercial partnerships.

In parallel, TCG has supported Warwick Acoustics’ long-term talent strategy by building relationships with local colleges and universities, creating a sustainable pipeline of future talent.

Process

The recruitment programme was built on a foundation of deep technical understanding and close collaboration with Warwick Acoustics’ leadership team, underpinned by TCG’s Insight-Led Framework.

Over a six-year partnership, Tech Connect Group (TCG) has developed specialist talent pools aligned to the company’s technology roadmap and growth plans. This includes mapping and engaging high-calibre candidates across audio, advanced engineering (mechanical and electrical), and production disciplines, supported by detailed salary benchmarking and market insight.

Through extensive consultation with senior stakeholders, TCG developed a comprehensive understanding of Warwick Acoustics’ products, culture, technical requirements, and long-term objectives. Early-stage calibration—using example candidate profiles and real-time market feedback—ensured alignment before each hiring phase was formally launched.

This insight-led approach also enabled TCG to identify exceptional talent beyond immediate hiring needs. In one instance, a high-potential “future star” candidate was introduced despite no active requirement—recognised as a strong cultural and academic fit, and successfully secured to support the company’s long-term growth.

Guided by TCG’s Insight-Led Framework, this structured and data-informed approach enabled TCG to deliver consistently high-quality shortlists, reduce hiring risk, and maintain momentum across multiple concurrent roles.

TCG were recommended to us through a mutual contact. They immediately impressed us with the way they sought to properly engage with and understand the wider context of our business. After an initial hire through them – where they amply demonstrated their ability to find multiple candidates of the right calibre within days – they went on to support us as we prepared and benchmarked our future resourcing plans.

Their market mapping and data insights have been genuinely useful in helping us understand the landscape, and their university links have also supported our thinking around future talent pipelines. Over the years, TCG have become a genuine extension of our team – bringing the understanding, insight and continuity of an embedded recruitment partner, while retaining the flexibility and perspective of an external specialist.

The Outcome

Over the course of the partnership, TCG has played a key role in supporting Warwick Acoustics’ rapid organisational growth, successfully delivering hires across engineering, manufacturing, production, and leadership functions.

This includes the successful placement of a C-suite executive, strengthening the organisation’s leadership capability during a critical phase of scale.

The result has been the creation of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team capable of advancing the company’s technology towards commercial deployment.

In parallel, TCG supported Warwick Acoustics’ long-term talent strategy by securing graduate and production talent through established relationships with colleges and universities—creating a sustainable pipeline to underpin future growth.

TCG’s ability to combine deep technical understanding with a strong appreciation of cultural fit has allowed them to position Warwick Acoustics effectively in a highly competitive candidate market, consistently attracting high-quality talent.

As a result, Warwick Acoustics is now well positioned for its next phase of growth, with new-expanded facilities, increased investment, and strengthening commercial partnerships.

Following the success of the programme, TCG has been retained as a trusted recruitment partner to support ongoing and future hiring initiatives.
