We are currently looking for an EMC Test Engineer to work for an international engineering and design company in Melksham, Wiltshire.
The role may also occasionally require candidates to travel to the test houses when required (normally Wimborne, Warwick or Malvern).
Successful applicants will possess the following;
Strong EMC background
Knowledge of Electronics HW /SW related to EMC testing
An understanding of potential test failures and how to overcome them.
Knowledge of Rail EMC standard EN (phone number removed)-2 (desirable).
Ability to set-up test equipment and the object under test (wiring, piping, etc).
Proven experience in similar role
Main duties will include:
Conduct performance check and reporting
Prepare test equipment for EMC testing
Setting-up equipment at test site.
Conduct EMC test at customer’s site – where required
Conduct EMC test at external test house – where required
Identify and resolve the issues during EMC testing.
Reporting
Annual salary range £40,000 – £48,000pa, DOE
Contract opportunities also available – inside IR35.
