The Role
We are currently recruiting a Junior Quality Inspector to work for a leading aerospace customer of ours in Oxfordshire. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be the key focal point for daily inspection of products manufactured in-house or by the supply chain. Full training will be provided for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out dimensional and cosmetic inspection of manufactured goods.
Maintain daily inspection figures/reports.
Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports for goods manufactured in-house.
Inspection and verification of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports submitted by the supply chain.
Support in the identification and handling of non-conforming (NC) product.
Ensure assigned tasks are completed on time to support customer schedules.
Communicate effectively & professionally with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Any other duties that may be required from time to time to support the business.
Skills & Experience
Manufacturing or Production experience, preferred.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or specifications, preferred.
Experience in using handheld inspection equipment, rules, verniers preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
Keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Team player, enthusiastic with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task and manage own time to meet required deadlines.
