Overview

Join a leading defence engineering organisation developing advanced electronic systems for safety-critical defence applications. As an Electronics Technician, you’ll play a key role in the assembly, testing and inspection of high-reliability electronic products, supporting the manufacture of cutting-edge defence technologies. Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you’ll ensure products meet the highest standards of quality, performance and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and manufacture PCB assemblies, wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical systems
  • Interpret technical drawings, circuit schematics and assembly documentation
  • Carry out precision soldering of through-hole and surface mount electronic components
  • Perform functional testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters and other electronic test equipment
  • Conduct fault-finding and repair of electronic assemblies to component level
  • Complete quality inspections and maintain accurate manufacturing and traceability records
  • Support prototype builds, new product introduction (NPI) and production activities
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with quality standards and company procedures

Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline is desirable
  • Previous experience within an electronics manufacturing or defence, aerospace or other regulated engineering environment
  • Competent using oscilloscopes, multimeters and other electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of PCB assembly, soldering techniques and electronic manufacturing processes
  • IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance
