As an Electronics Technician, you’ll play a key role in the assembly, testing and inspection of high-reliability electronic products, supporting the manufacture of cutting-edge defence technologies. Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you’ll ensure products meet the highest standards of quality, performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and manufacture PCB assemblies, wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical systems
- Interpret technical drawings, circuit schematics and assembly documentation
- Carry out precision soldering of through-hole and surface mount electronic components
- Perform functional testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters and other electronic test equipment
- Conduct fault-finding and repair of electronic assemblies to component level
- Complete quality inspections and maintain accurate manufacturing and traceability records
- Support prototype builds, new product introduction (NPI) and production activities
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with quality standards and company procedures
Experience & Qualifications
- Qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline is desirable
- Previous experience within an electronics manufacturing or defence, aerospace or other regulated engineering environment
- Competent using oscilloscopes, multimeters and other electronic diagnostic equipment
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts and technical documentation
- Knowledge of PCB assembly, soldering techniques and electronic manufacturing processes
- IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance
