We are currently recruiting a Buyer to work for a lead Electronics Manufacturing company Fareham.
The ideal candidate will have experience of purchasing materials in an economic manner and to the agreed deliverables and will be a competent user of materials business systems, Excel and ERP / MRP software.
DUTIES
- Work closely with the Production and Engineering departments.
- Ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Negotiate with new and existing customers.
- Build strong business relationships with suppliers.
SKILLS
- Knowledge of MRP.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a buying role.
- Vendor management.
- Strong negotiation techniques.
- Supply chain management.
- Advanced Excel.
The salary on offer for this role is £30,000-£34,000 plus company benefits.
