We are currently recruiting a Dispatch Coordinator to work for a leading Electronics Manufacturing company in Fareham.
The Dispatch Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring all manufactured products are shipped to customers on time and in perfect condition.
Responsible for the busy Dispatch section in the Stores Department.
Organise priorities against the daily shipping lists, sales order schedules, and requests from account managers.
Monitor workload to ensure shipment & collection deadlines are met, utilising available trained personnel.
Liaise with other departments to ensure timely arrival of finished product to the dept.
Packaging finished goods to set out instructions and procedures.
Arrange the shipment of both supplier returns and material to subcontractors, when required.
Booking collections with couriers for both UK and International shipments.
Arrange Same Day shipments.
Arrange 3rd party collections.
Obtain shipping quotes, when requested.
Negotiate shipping costs (annually).
Receipt finished product to stock.
Monitor and control packaging material and consumable usage, updating the MRP system accordingly.
Obtain quotes for packaging materials, when requested.
Liaise with couriers and relevant parties with any customs/export issues.
Ensure the Dispatch section is managed and maintained to a high standard.
Experience of working in a similar dispatch environment.
Familiarity with work orders, sales orders (MRP systems) and raising shipping documents.
KEY PERSONAL SKILLS
Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Good IT skills, including Excel, Word and MRP systems.
Ability to work without supervision, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
The hourly rate on offer for this role is £9.75/hr + overtime rates.
