We are currently looking for a number of GRP Repair specialists & GRP Laminators to work for a leading luxury yacht manufacturer in Peterborough.
The Role:
The successful candidate(s) will be working on both large and small moulds which may include deck, hull or other smaller parts. You will be using hand layup processes to apply the skincoat and bulkcoat laminate, core materials and final layer of laminate.
The Candidate:
- GRP Laminating and / or GRP repairs experience essential.
- 2 part split repairs experience preferred.
- Ability to roll out fiberglass without laminate defects such as air bubbles.
- Ability to inspect parts for gelcoat and laminate defects to ensure high quality standards before each phase of the lamination process.
- Ability to grind out laminate defects without damage to the gelcoat or the mould.
- Understands laminate related materials, methods and practices used in the department.
