Our UK based, world leading vehicle manufacturer are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Warwickshire.
Person profile
• Detailed knowledge of a wide range of mechanical engineering systems
• Trucks, Yellow Goods, or related products, with low volumes and high complexity
• Liaison with internal and external suppliers
• Component design and development from concept to production drawing release
• Designing for assembly and for manufacturing processes including welded fabrication, casting, vac forming
• DVP&R (Design validation plan & report) generation
• Understanding geometric tolerances in mechanical components
• Detailed knowledge/experience of truck chassis systems including powertrain, hydraulics, braking etc.
• Finite element analysis and a good understanding of stress and fatigue
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in Engineering in a relevant industry
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
