We are currently seeking an Engine Build and Test Engineer to work for a cutting-edge clean technology company in South London. 

Based within the Programme Management Team, you will work closely with all arms of the business to aid the design and delivery of all engineering activities within the business.  

You will be expected to manage the project and key stakeholders to delivery against the core business cost, quality and time objectives. 

In addition to delivering the core programmes, this role will lead continuous improvement opportunities within the business. The role will also actively engage in improving the business operations ensuring stakeholders have the tools and processes in place to effectively deliver.

 

Person Specification

It is anticipated that the individual has previous experience of working with groups to deliver a product or a process.

·        Proficiency in MS Dynamics/SharePoint/Power Automate/Power BI

·        Fluent with MS Office

·        Familiarity with Microsoft Project/MS Planner

·        Fundamental understanding of engine systems and refrigeration

·        Familiarity with testing and validation methods

·        Problem solving techniques such as Ishikawa Diagrams, 8D

·        Experience with data analysis and report writing

·        Experience of managing stakeholders

·        Experienced in delivering products/process to market or manufacturing

·        The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have a proactive and professional attitude to all aspects of their work

 

Educational Qualifications Required:

Graduate/Postgraduate degree in an Engineering discipline or similar

 

Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ experience working within a Manufacturing or Project environment

 

Responsibilities:

 

·        To run Engineering Start Up meetings aligning the teams to short term goals

·        Updating the Engineering timing plans as required

·        Producing plans to achieve future business targets

·        Reviewing Engineering work to ensure they meet the standard set by the business

·        Running Issue and Risk Management meetings with key stakeholders

·        Support stakeholders in their completion of tasks where required

·        Managing the Bill of Materials/Releases

·        Documenting and sharing meeting minutes

·        Leading projects to improve the business ensuring delivery on time and to budget

 

The position is office based due to the test facilities/On system calibration requirements with some flexibility working remotely. Likely to be 4 days onsite.
