We are currently recruiting a Quality Inspector to work for a leading Aerospace organisation in Oxfordshire.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, this will be a mixed and varied role working within an extremely busy Quality Department. The role will range from supporting initial inspection activities, to assisting with product life-cycle improvement activities, to liaising closely with Production, Customer Services and Engineering Teams.
You will play a key role in ensuring the companies Quality and Safety objectives are fulfilled.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out dimensional and cosmetic inspection of goods manufactured in-house or by the supply chain.
Maintain daily inspection figures/reports and associated KPI reports.
Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports for goods manufactured in-house.
Inspection and verification of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports submitted by the supply chain.
Oversee handling of Non-Conforming product (including scrap management) and associated Root Cause and Corrective Actions.
Certification of outgoing products/materials (Certificate of Conformities, CAA Form 1)
Ensure assigned tasks are completed on time to support customer schedules.
Communicate effectively & professionally with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Skills & Experience
Experience within a Quality Control/Assurance setting.
Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings & Specifications.
Experience in using handheld inspection equipment, rules, verniers.
FAIR compilation/review (AS9102 standard).
Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Internal Auditing experience.
Excellent communication skills, verbal & written.
Team player, enthusiastic with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task & manage own time to meet required deadlines.
