Our client, a global pioneer in sustainable aviation is building technology to change the way the world travels, they are combining the very best talent from Aerospace, Formula 1 and Automotive to develop a cutting-edge electric aircraft.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their quality department. The ideal candidate will have an array of quality engineering skills and will have ideally worked within a final assembly or build environment in the past.

 

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the manufacturing team in the creation of manufacturing instructions

  • Creation of incoming inspection plans & establishing appropriate skip lot process

  • Lead material MRB process to ensure effective decisions are made

  • Leading RCCA events following an 8D methodology and present findings of quality investigations in a clear and concise manner

  • Driving the use of FMEA during the RCCA events to reduce risk of process variation

  • Qualified to lead audits to AS9100 standards

  • Collates and analyses Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data and uses the output for key decision making

  • Using variable and attribute data extracted from the various data sources to, assess, analyse and validate the process under evaluation.

  • Leads collection of data from various data sources as an input into management reviews

  • Support the creation, storage and management of site, supplier & customer first article (FAIR) and PPAP documentation

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years in Quality Assurance / Control

  • 5+ years of working within defined Quality Management Systems

  • Experience of manufacturing processes

  • Experience of Internal and/or External Auditing Desirable Experience

  • Experience within a regulated environment of advanced technology (e.g., aerospace, defence, automotive design and manufacturing)

  • Experience of regulatory requirements in an aerospace approved organisation

  • Degree / HND / HNC in Engineering or equivalent

  • Experience with the use of modern quality tools (APQP)

  • ISO 9001:2015 or higher training

  • Experience in training or development of others
